![]() Another time, my one vanilla never worked due to failed activations, and one vanilla refused to help even after they said they would after received my receipt and copy of driver's license, so I had to go to store to get my money back after wasted 2 hours argument with store where I bought the VGC. Turned out the money went back to card automatically even I do not do anything, sometimes take longer than 2 days, I would give 7 days before I take further action or dispute etc. Thanks!I knew how you felt, I was nervous and upset for 2 days when that happened to me, I had to call oneVanilla after money didn't refund to the card after 48 hrs. FWIW I bought a $499 MO with one a couple of days ago just fine. Just wondering if anybody else has experienced the same thing recently as I have three other OneVanilla Prepaid Visas on hand. Looks like at least 2 people ended up got their refunds after filing disputes with InComm and much back and forth between going to the store and InComm, Also called Hannaford's main customer service and asked to speak with their main Finance office but was asked to leave information for a call back.ĭid some searches looks like some people had similar issues per this thread 5 years ago Dispute botched purchase with Incomm on a OneVanilla prepaid visa. I did get a piece of paper from her with her name, her manager's name and the store manager's name and "regarding money order" written on it. She said if not, I can come back to the store and ask them to see if they show the extra 2 $500s in their system and if so, she will refund me. She told me to wait until tomorrow to see if the transaction on my cards would be reversed and amount credited. She came back with a printout that shows the whole transaction voided with nothing charged. The manager went to the cash office to look up the transaction. I immediately went back and explained the situation and asked to speak with a Front-end or cash manager. ![]() When I checked my transaction history a minute later while still at the store, to my horror both cards showed $500 debit purchases at this Hannaford's and $0 remaining balance, and no credit reversal (I have had an experience in the past where the cashier decided to void the whole thing in the middle of transaction after 1 successful card swipe and the fund was put back right away, so I wasn't worried initially). ![]() The cashier said they must be having system issues and said he would void the whole thing so I walked away thinking if the balance was drained it would be put back, as the transaction did not complete (different from situations at Walmart where cash register opens when MO printer has problems, in which case I know I should ask and have asked for cash refund). At this point I (stupidly) volunteered to try a second OneVanilla Prepaid Visa, terminal shows processing and hung again. When I swiped the same card the second time, it showed a straight decline right away. The cashier said it maybe communication issue, so he advised me to try again. Swiped the first OneVanilla Prepaid Visa, put in a random 4-digit pin, terminal shows processing for about 15-20 seconds and seems to have hung. Asked to put $500 on the first debit card. I went to a Hannaford's to buy a MO for $1995.XX today. I know there's widespread reports of MCGC (Metabank) being declined at POS but balance drained but am curious as to whether anyone has any issues with OneVanilla Prepaid Visa Cards having the same issue, as I encountered today.
